The First VW Transporter Meet in the Vale: A Great Start to Something Special

This past weekend, we rolled up to something we’d been looking forward to for a while, the very first VW Transporter Meet in the Vale, hosted by the lovely folks at Vale VW Transporters. And what a brilliant start it was!

Set at the beautiful Cosmeston Lake, the meet brought together a small but mighty group of van owners and enthusiasts for a relaxed morning of chats, coffee, and camper talk. From T4s to T6s (and everything in between), each van had its own personality, setup, and story to tell and that’s what made the day so special.

There’s something about the VW community that feels instantly welcoming. Whether you’ve had a van for years or are just starting out, everyone has time to stop, swap tips, and share a good yarn about life on the road. This meet captured that vibe perfectly, no pressure, no competition, just a chance to connect and enjoy being part of a like-minded community.

It was especially lovely to meet some local faces and see vans we’d only previously spotted on the road or admired from afar. The morning flew by, and before we knew it, we were already chatting about the next one.

So, if you missed this one but don’t worry. This is just the beginning. With the energy and support already behind the group, we’ve got a feeling these meets will only get better (and bigger!). Whether you’re looking to make new van friends, find inspiration for your build, or just hang out in a field with fellow VW lovers, we’d definitely recommend coming along next time.

A big thank you to Vale VW Transporters for putting it together, we’re so glad to be part of it and can’t wait to do it all again soon.

See you at the next one! 🚐
